Amy and I made the first of several shakedown cruises to the Pelican Bay at Cayo Costa. This is one of the best anchorages on the Gulf coast and well known among the Florida boating community. It was a gorgeous night on the hook and we utilized the Summer kitchen on the flybridge to grill chicken for dinner. We made a list of the needed changes on Blue Horizon before departing on our extended trip. What we didn’t know what that the dinghy that came with the boat would let us down. The air chamber separated from the hull and it was a bit dicey getting her back to the mother ship. Amy had to hitch a ride with a neighboring boat and I brought the 11 year old dinghy back for salvage. First order of business…. New Dinghy!
Love the picture, Amy ❤️
